SHRED DIARIES: A Personal Update
Hey babe! This post is going to be a little different today.
I’ve just started my cut (fat loss phase) and I'm excited to share the details with you all since many of you have been asking about it.
I've spent the last 6 months bulking (a phase of eating in a caloric surplus to build muscle). My calories were up to 3,100 during the last 4 weeks of my bulk, which was heaaaaps. As you can imagine, I was eating a shit load of food and feeling super full.
It was fun. Bulking is always a good time until you hit that awkward stage where clothes don’t fit properly, and you’re force-feeding yourself to get your calories in (not so fun!).
So, I was pretty keen to end it. However, the real reason I’ve started cutting now is because I have a shoot booked in September and a holiday in October. EEEEP!!
10 weeks until my shoot.
14 weeks until Thailand.
So obviously, it was time to get shredded.
My calories have dropped by 1,000, which is a huge drop. So far, it’s been fine though—I’m actually enjoying eating less (ask me in a week though lol).
When you’re cutting, it’s best to focus on high-volume meals, loading up on heaps of veggies to stay fuller for fewer calories. You need to be strategic and prepared; meal planning and prep are a must to avoid any slip-ups.
So excited to see what I’ve built. I’ll be posting about my cut all over my socials, so if you’re keen to follow this journey, stay tuned!
With love,
